Steps
Done | Grab a non-stick pan or skillet and add oil. Swirl to coat the whole pot and let it heat on a slow flame for 5-10 minutes. |
Done | You can rather marinade the chicken with sesame oil, sugar, soy sauce, and pepper for one hour in the fridge and then cook it, or directly add ingredients with fried chicken. We will save your time and fry the chicken first. When the chicken is ready, shift it to a slow cooker, which is already coated with cooking spray. |
Done | Add soy sauce, sugar, orange juice, hoisin sauce, minced ginger, and garlic altogether and pour them on the chicken. |
Done | Mix well and cover the cooker with lid. Let it cook on low heat for a maximum of 1 hour until the chicken is tender. |
Done | Use a sieve and separate the cooked chicken mixture from its cooking oil into a separate saucepan. Let the chicken set aside in a dish. Remove any solids from the oil and let the oil boil on medium heat for a few minutes. |
Done | Mix cornstarch and water and make a separate mixture. |
Done | Add the mixture to cooking oil and stir well to blend correctly. |
Done | Let it come to one boil and make it thick while stirring constantly. |
Done | Pour the melted mixture on chicken and sprinkle sesame seeds and spring onions on it. |
Done | Enjoy it hot with nicely boiled rice. |
