For the Chicken
- 1 1/2 lbs Chickenboneless cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 eggbeaten
- Salt and Pepperto taste
- 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Cornstarch

For the Sauce
- 1 tsp Vegetable oil
- 1 tsp garlicminced fresh
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/2 cup Ketchup
- 3 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Sesame oiltoasted
- 2 tsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Sesame Seeds
- 2 tbsp Green OnionsSliced

Undoubtedly, meat is a food that started with a single consumption, and today is used in several cuisines invented by humans with time. We are talking about the sesame chicken recipe, a dish made in most Chinese restaurants throughout the United States. This dish is compared to Tso’s chicken, an authentic Chinese dish, but the flavor of chicken is different from the original recipe. It’s sweet rather than spicy like Tso’s chicken.
The uniqueness of this dish is the flavor and addition of sesame seeds which gives a heartwarming aroma and flavors the word. Aside from making it tasty, it becomes a healthy and light treat to be consumed with another side dish like boiled rice while managing dinner preparations.
Steps
1 Done | Take a bowl and add eggs, salt and pepper all together. Beat them well to combine. |
2 Done | Take another shallow bowl and add half cup cornstarch and flour together. Stir well to mix well. |
3 Done | Take chicken pieces individually and first dip them in the egg mixture and then the second mixture of flour and cornstarch. Dip them well into both varieties and place them separately into a wide tray for frying. |
4 Done | Heat up the oil in a pan for at least 3 inches deep and at 350 degrees of heat. |
5 Done | Add the chicken pieces into the pre-heated oil one by one slowly. Please do not overload the articles altogether while frying and make sure they are all cooked separately and thoroughly. |
6 Done | While chicken is frying, prepare the mixture of honey, soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and two tablespoons of cornstarch in a bowl. |
7 Done | Heat another pan with a teaspoon of oil and add the third mixture in it. Mix for 3-44 minutes until it becomes a little thick. |
8 Done | During the mixture preparation, make sure you go through all the chicken pieces, and they are well-fried until the gravy is ready. Once the honey mixture is cooked, add in the fried chicken pieces. |
9 Done | Coat all the pieces carefully into the mixture. Sprinkle it with sesame seeds and chopped green onions and serve in a fancy tray. |
10 Done | You can enjoy it with boiled white rice if you intend to consume this dish in the form of a meal. |
