Steps

1
Done

We will be making the dumpling wrappers ourselves, so here is what you have to do. Add in flour and half a cup of water in a bowl along with one tablespoon of salt. Knead until the dough becomes stiff and let it set aside for at least 25 minutes. After resting, knead a little more on a flat surface again and take out small balls of dough from it. Roll them into excellent circular shapes and flatten them with a rolling pin into a standard dumpling wrapper size. Make as many as possible.

Done

Time to chop the veggies! You can either use a food processor or a knife to help you with cutting. Chop all the vegetables evenly along with the tofu. Mix them all and add salt and pepper to your taste.

3
Done

Shift the chopped veggies onto a thin cloth to drain out all the water from them. You can fold them into a ball and squeeze a little to drain the water out. We need dry vegetables if we want to make the perfect dumplings.

4
Done

Time to fill the dumplings up! Take individual dough rolls and put one tablespoon of vegetable filling on each of them. Keep in mind that their top needs to remain open as it still needs cooking time. Make as many as possible, and put them evenly and carefully in a steam pot.

5
Done

Cover the lid and let the dumplings cook in steam for at least 10-15 minutes. Make sure that they are cooked evenly and whole to be consumed happily.

6
Done

Finally, garnish them with chili oil or green onion leaves and serve them with the sauce of your choice.
